Joss Whedon, you need to call me

Any time I start feeling adrift, unmotivated, or depressed, all I have to do is watch the special features on any one of my favorite movies or TV shows.

Today, it's Firefly. Fucking brilliant. The chance to work on a show like that? A dream come true.

I do think it's telling, however, that Joss rarely pays any tribute to his costume designers. I can think of only two reasons for this: either a) he's a total dick (do I mean dictator?) to his costume designers, and doesn't have the collaboration with them that he has with other members of his creative team, or b) he hasn't worked with me yet.

I think b.

Of course, I have my own geniuses. Among the brilliant minds I've been privileged to work with:

The dreamy Alveraz Ricardez, who is not only gorgeous, brilliant, and inspired, but a joy to work with as well. We're going to (finally) finish shooting The Tailor next month, and I can't wait to be on set with that talented, dedicated cast and crew again.

Speaking of brilliant, I worked on a pilot with Randy Bookman and Gerry Santos. We're in post, and the details are under wraps, but if all goes well, I could possibly be drawing a paycheck from George Lucas. (yes, that George Lucas) It's a good dream.

Don't feel threatened, though, Joss. I'll still take your call.
